Header Remake CLI

Header Remake CLI is a blazingly fast Rust command-line utility inspired by transmissions11/headers. It generates clean, customizable ASCII comment headers, structural divider banners, and boxed code sections with automated native OS clipboard integration.

1. Motivation & Purpose

Organized, readable source code in complex systems and smart contract repositories requires standardized structural comment banners (such as /* --- CONSTANTS --- */ or boxed headings). Manually computing ASCII paddings, box boundaries, and comment prefixes is tedious and error-prone.

Header Remake was created in Rust to generate perfectly formatted code banners instantly in the developer's terminal or directly copy them to the system clipboard in a single command.

2. Key Features

• Multi-Language Comment Syntaxes: Automatically adapts comment wrappers for Solidity, C/C++, Rust (// and /* */), Python/Bash (#), SQL/Lua (--), and Assembly (;).
• Diverse Box & Banner Styles: Supports double-line boxes, single-line boxes, modern block slashes (/*////...*/), centered titles, and full-width padding fills.
• Native OS Clipboard Integration: Automatically pushes the generated header directly to the OS clipboard (macOS pbcopy, Linux X11/Wayland, Windows) without requiring shell piping.
• Configurable Width & Padding: Defaults to 80-column standard width, with flags to customize length, border glyphs, and alignment.
